During this fun and interactive book club class, we will jump into Roz the robot's world as she adapts to living in the wilderness after being shipwrecked on an uninhabited island. This book is being made into a movie later this year, so it's the perfect book to read before your learners see it on the big screen! Each week we will discuss chapters from the book and explore the plot, theme, characters, setting, conflicts, and vocabulary. Students will have vocabulary and comprehension...

- Students will learn new vocabulary related to the book
- Students will develop reading comprehension
- Students will develop their confidence to speak and share ideas in a group setting

Homework
頻率: 1-2 per week回饋: 如所須細節: The homework will consist of vocabulary and comprehension worksheets for each section of chapters. Students should complete them as best as they can before class. We will go over the answers together in class and have more in depth conversations about the story elements.Progress Report
頻率: 1 after class completion細節: Parents will receive feedback about the student's performance in the class after class completion including information about their reading comprehension and vocabulary skills.
Although this book is rated for children 8 years old, there is some mild violence when robots fight with animals and there is mention of guns.
Students must purchase their own copy of The Wild Robot by Peter Brown.
