課堂經歷
The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar is just months away and nations around the world are battling it out for their spot on the biggest stage of them all. But how exactly do countries get there? Do all countries automatically qualify? How many countries actually have soccer teams? and finally, how does The World Cup actually work? Join me as we'll answer all these questions and predict who we think we'll become world champions! As well as this, students will also learn how to respect others' opinions, how to politely express themselves and build confidence along the way in a fun, yet structured social learning environment. No prior knowledge of soccer is needed. Class breakdown: 1. Introductions - I'll introduce and tell a soccer fact about myself and then encourage students to do the same. 2. The difference between club and international soccer 3. The Road to the World Cup - • The six FIFA Federations and where they are in the world • The names of each federation and how many countries compete in each one • Formats of qualification explained for each federation • A look at the live standings to check that students understand the format. 4. After qualification, what happens next? - The format of The World Cup Finals explained 5. Who will win The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar 6. Goodbye my friends - A brief summary of the class and students will get the chance to ask any questions they might have.

2. Geography - Understanding where countries are and what continent they are a part of.

Hello, my name is Ross Hanson and I am a TEFL certified teacher, as well as a Football Association of Wales qualified coach. My goal in my lessons is to provide a fun and relaxed environment, where students can learn about what they enjoy while gaining important social skills along the way.
I hope to prompt students to think creatively and explore their natural curiosity. I want them to feel that no question is too silly to ask.
In my class, students will learn and understand terminology, tactics and how to analyze a match, while at the same time discussing all things soccer.
I also have over two years of experience teaching English as a foreign language and have found that students learn best when discussing something that they love.
Adding to the aforementioned two years of teaching, I have also coached youth soccer for three years, two years in the USA and one year in the UK.
I have a National Diploma in Sport, a Football Association of Wales C Certificate and a 120-hour TEFL Certificate.
I love sports and if I'm not watching or playing soccer, then you'll find me on a board either on snow or water depending on the season :)
My second love is to travel and I have been to thirty countries so far and counting...
I really enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories, so feel free to ask me anything.
I look forward to seeing your child in my classroom soon :)
Bye for now, Ross
