Class Experience Do you think guinea pigs are the cutest creatures that ever walked the earth? Me too! In "The Power Puff Piggies Teach Proper Guinea Pig Care" class, we'll cover important facts about guinea pigs. Students will leave this class with a great understanding of: -How guinea pigs love to be treated -What the benefits of owning guinea pigs are -How we can best care for our guinea pigs, (the basics) -Some of the common misunderstandings about guinea pigs -Fun guinea pig facts, such as "popcorning" This class will be a teacher/guinea pig-led conversation. The kids will love learning directly from my 3 guinea pigs because they will be the feature of this classroom! I will share information and facts with the students as I am working with my guinea pigs. This type of demonstration is a wonderful environment to learn how to pick up your guinea pigs, ways to clean their home, what to feed them and the multiple ways to understand your guinea pigs' body language as well as verbal clues. Students are welcome to ask questions, share their thoughts, and even bring their guinea pigs if they would like to. A lot of work goes into caring for these little furry friends and it is important to know what it takes before you commit to ownership so this class is perfect for you even if you have not yet picked out your best friends to take home! If you already have guinea pigs in your home, this is the perfect class for you too!

Parents please note: I do use the words "poop" and "pee" in this class. Also, I have a male guinea pig and he chatters to the females, I will be telling the students that means he really loves the girl guinea pig and wants her to know it.

With the help of my "Power Puff Piggies" I will be offering classes on "Proper Guinea Pig Care". We have a lot of fun and the class is very interactive. Your kiddos will get to "help" me with my guinea pigs directly to demonstrate proper feeding, handling and home maintenance, with a flair of responsibility and how that relates in all areas of life.
I will also be offering a multitude of guinea pig themed classes that are more geared towards building and being creative, such as my "Let's Build Guinea Pig Structures!" classes. They have been very popular and the kids have an absolute blast! In these classes students will be having fun and learning facts about guinea pigs as they are creating toys, sculptures and pieces of art.
I have been a certified Life Mentor since 1997, mentoring adults and children. As a mentor, I have helped hundreds of individuals learn to overcome stress, increase self-confidence and be more productive in their lives.
In my classrooms I value fun, friendship, respect and partnership. With these values in mind, I develop curriculum that is fun and interactive. Each learner gets a chance to express themselves in their own way so they can learn in a safe, judge-free zone.
Fun fact about me? I love having celebrations! I have monthly gatherings at my home for games, singing and dancing. I have even hosted a karaoke party for 5 year olds!
