課堂經歷
This fun Ballet Camp class is suitable for both ballet dancers and beginners aged 6 - 10 years. The children should have an interest in ballet as we will be doing ballet steps during the class. Class Plan:- Short Introduction Easy Ballet Warm Up The Nutcracker Scavenger Hunt:- I will tell part of the story of 'The Nutcracker' and then ask the children to go and find an object while playing music from that section of the Ballet. When they return we will learn a ballet step to the music before continuing with the next section of the story. (Example of Ballet Steps:- Arabesque, Battement Tendu, Saute, Chasse, Petit-Jete, Pirouette) Cool Down/Reverence Teaching Style:- I have a positive approach to teaching. I like to praise and encourage. When I'm speaking or have music playing I may keep the students muted so they are able to hear me/the music clearly but I will be interacting and spotlighting the children throughout.

Students will learn the story of 'The Nutcracker' ballet as well as hearing excerpts of the music and learning easy ballet steps.

Parental Guidance:-
Please ensure children have enough space to move around and remove anything they may bump into or knock down (e.g. your expensive vase!). As this is a Scavenger Hunt they will also need the ability to be able to go and find things from other rooms in the house.
Class Attire:- Please wear appropriate free-moving clothes e.g. tee-shirt with leggings, leotard and wear either ballet shoes or bare-feet (not socks) so they do not slip during the class.
Fitness:- Your child should be in a fit and healthy state. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns.

I have been teaching dance for 25 years. I am a qualified professional dance teacher holding my Ballet Teaching certificate with the NCDTA (Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association in the UK). I have taught all ages of ballet from young to adult; also training other teachers. I am currently the Children's Program Director of a Dance Studio in the USA. Ballet is one of my favorite classes to teach! I also teach Speech, Drama and Music holding a B.A.(Hons) Drama/Theatre & Music (London). I love the theatrical side of dance and making stories come to life. I hope this camp will be a fun way for children to learn the story of 'The Nutcracker' and experience both dance and music.評論
