Students will learn about the history of enumeration in the Ancient World, from Prehistoric Times to the Golden Age of Greece. They will explore several numeric forms and methods of counting from around the world. They will delve into the deeper meaning given to numbers by ancient philosophers, such as Plato and Aristotle. Hopefully, they will come to appreciate them, as the foundation of mathematics, as a beautiful part of the tapestry of life.
I have been a teacher across the curriculum for over 25 years. My last position was as a K-5 Math Teacher and Math Interventionist.
If any required handouts or worksheets are required, they will be made available in the classroom in advance.
