In this engaging and interactive course, students in grades 1-5 will explore the science of nutrition and physical activity. Through hands-on activities, games, and real-life examples, students will learn about the importance of a balanced diet, the benefits of physical activity, and how to make healthy choices. Students will also develop an understanding of nutrition labels, portion sizes, and mindful eating habits.

Information regarding eternal links:
Youtube: The lesson videos are recorded and uploaded onto youtube. The teacher will post the youtube link to the classroom.
Google Forms: Every week, there will be multiple choice quizzes created in Google Forms. To protect learners' privacy, learners' email addresses will not be shared with the teacher or with the other students. The quizzes are automatically marked at the completion of the quiz. Learners are welcome to post their quiz results to the classroom.
Students will not need to create a Youtube or Google account in order to participate.
Parents should be close by to help with food prep such as cutting or transferring hot food. The experiments use eggs and dairy but the recipes are 100% modifiable to accommodate learners with food allergies and dietary lifestyles.

For the egg in a mug recipe: Microwave safe mug Nonstick cooking spray Fork 2 Eggs Salt and Pepper Cheese or Cheese Stick Lunch Meat (optional) Veggies (optional) Bagel Thin/Toast/Egg McMuffin (optional) For the yogurt taste test: Two 32 oz. containers of yogurts— one healthier and one less healthy. I like to use “Light N’ Fit Dannon Yogurt” and “Strawberry Yoplait Original Yogurt”. Spoons for each learner enroll Miniature paper cups (2 per learner enrolled)
