This class will guide students to handwrite a note of thanks, one of the most touching ways to let others know how much we appreciate their kindness. We'll begin by discussing various ways we appreciate others that go beyond thanking someone for a gift. We appreciate others' hospitality, time spent with us, kindness, and guidance just to name a few. I will share a format for the text of the note including, the greeting, expressing thanks, adding specific details, restating thanks, and...
Learners will overcome the struggle of figuring out what to say in a well-written thank-you note, allowing them to master the life skill of sending a thoughtful and specific expression of gratitude.
Learners will need paper for drafting the rough copy of their note and a pen or pencil for writing. They will also need a sheet of clean typing paper to fold as the thank you card. Availability of markers or colored pencils will allow students to decorate their created card if they choose. Students may also use a blank thank you greeting card instead of creating their own.
