Hello! In this class, the student will learn about the exciting art of imagery and how to incorporate it into their writing. They will learn what imagery is, see examples of this technique, and be inspired to create descriptive pieces from sentences, to story excerpts, to poems. There are a total of 3 short videos. This course is short and to the point, giving the student tangible tools to use to write something awesome!

The student will learn how to appeal to the reader's 5 senses with the use of descriptive language.
The student will learn how to "show" the scene, rather than "telling" the scene.

What is Imagery?
You will see a fun presentation explaining about imagery, including using the 5 senses, "descriptive" verbs, and showing vs. telling. This lesson contains lots of sentences and examples with the use of descriptive language.

See It in Action!
In this lesson, we'll step it up! You'll see the use of imagery in an original story excerpt and an original poem. For both of these, you will see a "before" and "after." You will see the story excerpt without the use of descriptive language, and then you'll see it with descriptive language. Same with the poem. This way, you can see the difference it makes... and be inspired to incorporate imagery / descriptive language into your writing.
