Welcome to The ArKIDecture Academy! In this class, students will construct and design a 2D Halloween style house out of paper. Each student will fold and cut their own house with step by step guidance. As a class, we will review slides and discuss examples of architectural elements that can be found on and in Halloween houses. Following the slide review, each student will have time to draw their chosen 'architectural features' on their own paper house. I will encourage them to express...

I am a practicing architectural designer in the world of residential design. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design and a Master's Degree in Architecture. I have been sharing my passion of architecture through architectural camps and classes for children since 1999.
Students shall provide the following: - 1 sheet white 8 1/2 x 11 paper - Suggested Halloween materials - Halloween stickers/cotton or other cobweb-like material - Glue/glue stick - scissors (*If your child is not comfortable with scissors, parents are asked to help with cutting). - crayons, markers, or colored pencils (Parents can choose what medium would be best for their child)
