課堂經歷
During this live video class, we will use a chair and small hand weights (or water bottles, cans of soup - anything resembling hand weights) to build strength and endurance by doing a Ballet Barre workout. The class will start with a warmup and continue into a full-body workout incorporating balance, strength, cardio, and a stretch to finish! Teens will build muscle, confidence, and flexibility that can benefit all parts of their lives. While this is a "ballet" based workout, NO prior ballet or dance experience is required! Barre is for everyone! A chair is required to help with balance. A mat for floor work is also recommended but not mandatory- a towel would also work. Some small hand weights will be used but water bottles or canned vegetables can work, too! Participants should wear comfortable clothes that allow them to move freely. Have a water bottle nearby and space to workout. While no prior experience is required, it is important to be in general good health. If you are feeling sick in anyway, I am more than happy to refund you!

Parents - With any sort of Physical Education type class there are potential hazards (including, but not limited to, needing an open workout space, necessary foot wear, a water bottle if needed, adequate stretching beforehand, and making the instructor aware of previous injuries or possible physical limitations the student may have) Injuries can occur if proper form and technique isn't practiced during class. Please be cautious when working out at home and always feel free to contact me with questions and concerns.

I teach Movement classes in studio and online as well! I have been teaching dance for 15+ years to all ages (18months - adult) as well as Fitness classes to kids and adults. Dance has been a major part of my life for 32 years and I love bringing that passion to others. I've worked with young and old, special needs, low-impact or injured, wheel-chair bound, and all others!
I believe that Dance/Movement is a rare "sport" that is all-inclusive; gross and fine motor skills, spatial awareness, emotionally stimulating, builds self-confidence, improves discipline & listening skills, and much more.
My family consists of my super supportive husband, my oldest daughter (8) youngest daughter (6), and then the littlest one is 3years old, but he was born 3-1/2 months early. We spent a significant amount of time in the NICU in the city we live in and are forever grateful for modern medicine! Our life has been a rollercoaster and, as crazy as this sounds, I wouldn't have it any other way... mostly. haha!
Being a mama myself, I try to be flexible with my schedule and appreciate the understanding from parents as I navigate our medically complex son's needs as well as two active girls!
