課堂經歷

Students will learn to normalize and recognize anxiety. Students will learn different parts of the brain and their functions. Students will learn 3 simple tips to calm down anxiety (A Breathing Exercise, Imagination Vacation, and telling our brains the true information). 
I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor/elementary school social worker. I have a Master's Degree in Social Work and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker license, along with a School Social Worker License. I have been teaching children about mental health, mindfulness, coping tools, and emotions for four years. I love helping kids feel empowered to learn ways to manage their emotions!
Students will not need any supplies for this class, however, they are welcome to take notes if they would like. 
I will be showing an image of the brain with different parts (Amygdala, Hippocampus, and Pre-Frontal Cortex) highlighted
