Each week we will being with a Tap warm up where learners will learn basic Tap dance steps. We will work on rhythm and syncopation by using our heels and toes. We will work on various dance combinations each week and learn a new Tap step! Tap shoes are not necessary for this class, a clean pair of sneakers works just fine! Week 1 - 1/7/24 - Hop Week 2 - 1/14/24 - Leap Week 3 - 1/21/24- Jump Week 4 - 1/28/24 - Ball Change Week 5 - 2/4/24 - Flap Week 6 - 2/11/24 - Grapevine Week 7 -...
Your child will learn beginner tap dance steps in a creative and positive learning environment. They will also learn short combinations which teaches various patterns. Dancing to music also teaches the student how to develop rhythm and musicality. And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!
Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back. By signing up for this class you should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in these online dance classes, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself.
