Tagalog for Littles 4 (TFL4) is a comprehensive review of the lessons from TFL 1-3. 

The course will focus on practical application using the knowledge of vocabulary words, phrases, sentences and questions gained from Tagalog for Littles 1-3. The objective of this module is not only for the learners to use what they learned in previous lessons using short (but complete) sentences in Tagalog but for them to know HOW and WHEN to use what they already know, but are uncomfortable or uncertain when to use them.

They will also be challenged to practice asking questions in Tagalog and have their peers answer in Tagalog as well. As always, the goal is make them comfortable and confident in their skills. If your learner knows how to ask their friends in class, "Kamusta ka ______ ?" and be able to answer themselves, this is a great indicator that they are ready for a cumulative review. They are growing confidence in their Tagalog skills. If they are using their some of Tagalog vocabulary (words that they’ve learned in class) randomly at home, GREAT! It shows they are retaining the information. This is the ultimate goal of all the Tagalog for Littles courses. TFL 4 was created so that learners do not forget what they already know and can begin to practice using their knowledge in daily life. Language acquisition happens when it is heard and reinforced continuously.

In TFL 4, I ask for each learner to compile all their previous worksheets. If they have been misplaced, I will provide them with the necessary worksheets. Worksheets are not the focus in this course, they will merely serve as a guide. Classes are focused more on:

1) LISTENING COMPREHENSION - being able to answer questions in Tagalog or being able to follow instructions in Tagalog 
2) SPEAKING - being able to communicate in Tagalog, even in short sentences

Understanding simple Tagalog questions and instructions is important so that each learner gains comfort and confidence in the Tagalog language skills to use in daily speech and communication.

Week 4: Saan Masakit? (What Hurts?); Kamusta Ka? (How Are You?)
Week 5: Mayroon Ba Tayong Kalabasa? (Do We Have Pumpkins?); Nasaan Ka? (Where Are You?)
Week 6: Ano Ito? (What is This?); Anong Hugis ang Buwan? (What Shape is the Moon?)
