(This is the one time class version- I also offer a weekly lesson.) 🎭 A B O U T T H E C L A S S 🎭 -This is a private tutoring session to allow students of most ages a chance to focus on themselves as an actor. -Whether they have never acted before or want to become a famous actor one day, this lesson is good for all! -Students can ask me questions and let me know if there are any specific monologues, plays, or skills they would like to focus on. -I can help students with any auditions or performances they are currently working on, giving them feedback and a boost in confidence. 🎭 C O U R S E O U T L I N E 🎭 - Introductions, fun questions to get to know each other. - Fun warm up/game - Practice time! -We will work on facial expressions, the basics of acting, and feeling comfortable performing a fun monologue. 🎭 O T H E R S K I L L S 🎭 -Character voices, slating, choosing blocking, finding the right monologue, getting into character, real-looking crying and laughing on the spot, and so much more! - If a student has a higher interest in technical theatre, we will work on designing a set, costume design, and playwrighting. -We can also work on musical theatre skills and practice voice if that is what the student is interested in. 🎭 F I R S T C L A S S 🎭 -During the first class ever with the learner, I will go over goals that the student has to better create lessons for them. I will touch base with them to see if they are interested in performance acting, tech, or musical theatre. - I will get a feel for their reading level to determine what length of monologues they can rock! -Students will decide if they want to focus more on Improv acting or performance acting. -Every few weeks, students will choose a monologue that they will memorize and prepare. They will practice performing it as well. -After a few months, students will even have a chance to learn more about musical theatre, Shakespeare, children's theatre, or technical theatre! 🎭 C R E D E N T I A L S 🎭 -Degree in Theatre Arts and Education -Two years experience in a classroom setting -Directed shows for different ages -Performed in multiple shows with experience in singing, dancing, and technical design We are going to have a blast learning so many acting skills. Learners are going to gain confidence and learn a new way to express themselves. See you in class!

◾️ I N T R O ◾️
Hello! My name is Mrs. Logan and I am a lover of theatre and teaching a wide variety of topics within the art. I used to watch a movie when I was a kid and act out the entire thing from start to finish. The rest was history!
Growing up, I was so intrigued in my history classes and I have found the subject to be fun to teach! I love to dive into historical figures and historical places around the world. This is what inspired me to add history classes as well.
I am excited for your learners to gain confidence and feel comfortable with self-expression in a variety of ways in my classes.
◾️ P H I L O S O P H Y ◾️
I believe that each student is unique and therefore deserves a learning environment that flows with who they are. I focus heavily on engagement and finding new ways to make class an enjoyable place to be. I believe that praising students for what they are doing well allows them to feel like they succeed. I focus heavily on a positive learning environment in which we learn a lot and have fun doing it!

-Graduated from Hastings College with a degree in K-8 Elementary and Theatre Arts
-Years of experience in acting, costume design, set design, directing, dancing, and singing.
-I have been working with kids my whole life- all ages.
-Served as a children's show and one act director.
-Performed in a variety of shows and have experience with the tech world.
-I was a fifth grade teacher for two years in a public charter school.
-I have spent hours researching historical topics and have taught history to all ages.
