I will teach learners how to play games that build their listening comprehension. This is the ground-work for developing strong readers, and the best part is, learners will be having so much fun that they won't even know they are learning! My process has worked for young learners during my 6+ year career as a Kindergarten teacher. I am engaging, animated and fun- I have even been known to do silly voices from time to time. I love to involve learners in their own journey as we learn together. Interaction is a huge part of developing listening comprehension and student engagement tends to be very high during these fun games. This class is a part of a summer reading camp series, where I will offer more classes that build on this one throughout the summer. Learners should be able to listen and follow directions, as well as be familiar (or have an adult available to help) with muting and unmuting their technology. Let's play and learn!
