Class Experience "Words are a lens to focus one's mind."- Ayn Rand Limited offering of two days and times for the fall semester. This course offers students an opportunity to open up to a new world of creative exploration, and experience a new way to express themselves. Students will write a full length novel, or novella, over a period of three months, providing them a learning opportunity that is unique, memorable, and leaves them with a great reward that they can call their own. The...
Students will learn all elements of a novel, which will allow them to create their own piece of fiction. In the process, they will also: -Expanded their vocabulary; -Gain an understanding of the mechanics of Reading and Writing; -Develop cognitive growth; -Develop the power to influence others through persuasion; -Self-confidence; -Artistic Expression; and -Goal Setting and Discipline. Lessons will provide the student with an understanding of the major elements of a novel, including: -Plot, -Setting, -Character Development, -Point of View, -Theme(s) -Symbolism, -Conflict, -Dialogue, ...and more!
