Second grade is a great year to grow! In this class your kid will have the opportunity to reinforce Math concepts that will help them to strengthen their development. Each class is not dependent on the other, so you can choose those that better fit your students' unique needs. Using the I do, You do, We do Approach, the student will have the opportunity to practice second grade Math skills. The teacher will encourage participation by asking prompting questions and will complete the lesson with an assessment game. Each class will follow the format: - Presentation of skill (why is it important) -Examples and supports -Independent practice The topics/skills that will be discussed per week are as follows: Week of June 12th - Place Value (1's, 10's, 100's) Week of June 19th - Addition Word Problems (one step) Week of June 26th - Comparing Numbers Word Problems Week of July 3rd - Subtraction Word Problems (one step) Week of July 10th - Telling Time Week of July 17th - Money

To enhance the learning experience, students will be using the following interactive tools during class.
Nearpod, ABCya!, Khan Academy Kids, Kahoot! and Quizlet
Students will be provided with game codes and access to the games through shared screens. No subscriptions and/or sign ups will be necessary.
