課堂經歷
This summer camp allows students to explore the science involved in the Growth Mindset creatively. I will create a safe space for students to openly ask questions, share experiences and opinions respectfully, and build better relationships with others and themselves. Monday- What is the Growth Mindset, and what is the science that backs it up? Share my own experience with the Growth Mindset. Busting the myth of right brain/left brain preference. ...
My students will walk away from this class with a deeper understanding of the Growth Mindset and the science that supports such a mindset. They will have the tools needed to practice mindfulness, gratitude, stress management, and self-acceptance. Students will also know how to reframe their thoughts and self-soothe in a creative way.
I have a specialty in science that includes classes completed in Anatomy and Physiology 1-2, Psychology, Human Growth and Development, and Teaching the Exceptional Student. I have also had experience applying the growth mindset and experiencing its life-changing effects. I have guided many discussions about sensitive matters amongst students and know how to keep the environment calm, loving, supportive, respectful, and open.
I will provide printouts for each class. Students must bring the printouts I provide them, crayons, colored pencils, markers, and pens.
