In each class, a new spelling rule will be taught. 

Week 1 - when to use c vs k
Week 2 -  - when to double letters at the end of words
Week 3 -  open syllables vs closed syllables
Week 4 - review and write phrases and sentences
Week 5 - silent e (vowel-consonant e syllable)
Week 6 - c, k, ck - add we always use k with a silent e and spell two-syllable words and label which syllable
Week 7  - soft c
Week 8 - soft g and hard g sounds
week 9- long o and I when followed by two consonants
week 10...
