As a former elementary school teacher of 18 years, I found that there were a few reading comprehension standards that students struggled with the most. When creating this class, I choose the top four standards that students would benefit from an extra review just to ensure mastery of the standard. Students will improve their understanding of Author’s Purpose, Character Traits, Informational Text Structures and Making Inferences.
Each week I will provide students with an anchor chart and any other supplemental materials we will be using. Google Slides will be used for the presentation however students will not use a login to access. I will provide the lesson through the Zoom Share Screen option.
