This is a 30-minute 1:1 tutoring session designed to help your child improve their executive functioning skills. It can also be used to support gaining reading comprehension skills. We'll be focused on time management skills, the ability to look at a project, anticipate how long it will take to finish, and how to break it down. We'll also work on executive functioning skills. My teaching style is interactive and has a foundation in growth mindset philosophy. I am a supportive and engaging teacher and will focus each session on what your child needs that day. My goals are to help your middle to high school grade child gain skills that will not only support their academic success but also their confidence as well!

Executive Functioning: your child will be learning skills like how to stay organized, how to chunk out assignments into manageable pieces, and time management.Reading Comprehension: ability to read text and understand the progression of the story, key incidents advancing the plot, and how characters change over time.

As a former teacher of students who had learning disabilities, I am adept at finding way to help them succeed in reading comprehension. I also effectively teach students how to utilize and build on their executive functioning skills.

I have experience in supporting students with executive functioning needs and helping them to acquire the skills needed to find success.
