I LOVE reading! and reading to others, especially children. As a Principal and educator of 50+ years, I always read in my classroom, as Tutor, volunteer teacher around the world and as a Principal to large groups of students at a time. Additionally, I was trained via classes at the Los Angeles Music Center on story telling methods.

Homework [Optional but strongly suggested]: After each class, learner rewrites the story making changes to the story EX: different characters in their story, different ending, the learner him/herself as a character in their story. After the rewrite, please post a video in the classroom of the learner retelling their story.

SUGGESTION: Parents, grandparents, older siblings read a book aloud of the learner's choice as the learner draws the story in sequence. Great practice for building listening skills, exposure to new literature, visualizing the story, and retelling the story in a comfortable setting with family members.
