In this flexible STEAM class, students will learn and expand upon STEAM concepts through pre-recorded videos, slideshows, and class discussions through online chat. Learners will then have the opportunity to participate and complete a science experiment on colour changing flowers. Week 1: - PDF provided prior to class - Pen/Pencil Week 2: - PDF provided prior to class - Pen/pencil Week 3: - PDF provided prior to class - Pen/ Pencil/ coloured pencils/ markers - Glass Jars (amount will depend on how many colours you will make) - Water - Food Colouring or liquid watercolour - White flowers (daisies, roses and carnations work best in my experience) - Camera (to take pictures of progress and results) Week 4: - Their finished science journal
Students will be completing an experiment in which parental guidance or assistance may be needed.
