Day 1- We will create a chart together listing what learners already know about snakes and what they would like to learn about snakes. We will begin learning some cool facts about snakes through the National Geographic Kids book “Snakes!” by Melissa Stewart, and learners will become engineers as they create their own slithering snakes from recyclable materials you have at home!

Day 2- We will continue learning cool facts about snakes, and after discussing how to measure things, we will measure the snakes that learners made the previous day. We will compare the measurements that each learner gets and discuss factors that affect these measurements as well as what would affect measurements of real snakes. Then, learners will use their artistic creativity to make an environment for their snakes to camouflage into. 

Day 3- We will finish up the summer camp with a chance for learners to present their completed projects ...and of course, learn a few MORE cool facts about snakes!
