This is the ultimate class for Star Wars fans! We will watch EVERY live-action Star Wars movie in original release order! Buckle up, Rebels, we're going hyperdrive in 3...2...1! Each week, Padawans will discuss character arcs, plot development, interesting facts, and Easter eggs. I provide visually appealing slide shows to go along with the lesson with pictures from the movies along with discussion questions. My classes are low-pressure and suited to every type of learner. Your student will be encouraged to participate actively in the discussion, but never pressured to do so. I don't call on students unless they have their hands up, so I will never call on a student who isn't ready and willing to answer. There is no reading or writing necessary for this class. The purpose of this class is to have fun talking about the things we love. Feel free to bring Star Wars toys and props to class! Discussion Schedule: Week of 8/6-8/12: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope Week of 8/13-8/19: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back Week of 8/20-8/26: Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi Week of 8/27-9/2: Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace Week of 9/3-9/9: Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones Week of 9/10-9/16: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Week of 9/17-9/23: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens Week of 9/24-9/30: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Week of 10/1-10/7: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi Week of 10/8-10/14: Solo: A Star Wars Story Week of 10/15-10/22: Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker After each cycle, we'll wrap right back around to the beginning! I focus on fostering the Three C's in my students: Communication, Connection, and Critical Thinking.

With a BS degree in Early Childhood Education and over a decade of experience, I have had the privilege of teaching students from pre-K to 12th grade. My primary areas of expertise are literature, reading, and writing. In addition to traditional classroom teaching, I've successfully homeschooled my own special needs son for more than 10 years and led classes in our local homeschool co-op.
