In this week-long camp, students will get to know our corner of the universe. We'll discuss the history if the solar system, our planet, plus the other 7 planets, just to name a few topics. Students will also get a chance to show off their knowledge by playing fun games. I like to interact with the students and allow them to interact with each other. They will begin or continue their study of astronomy and meet other like-minded students. Day 1- Intro, discuss the history and our place in the universe Day 2- we'll take a more in-depth look into our planet and the planets in our solar system Day 3- We'll discuss our Sun. Day 4- dwarfs planets, asteroids, comets, trans-Neptunian objects Day 5- Kahoot day. We'll review some and play Kahoot to see who knows what
學習目標
Students will be able to discuss how place in the solar system. They will be able to confidently identify the different objects found in our solar system.

Hello!
UPDATE: I am taking a break from Outschool. After the spring semester of 2024 ends, I will take a hiatus.
I offer a variety of science and math classes. I have close to ten years of teaching experience. I've worked with students of all ages including young adults. I experience teaching in the classroom and teaching virtually. I have a B.A. from Louisiana State University.
I've helped tutoring student reach their goals whether it's to pass a standardized test or get a passing grade in a course.
I think that a basic understanding of science enhances one's life. It opens up a world hidden to most people. Studying science and math helps children to develop critical thinking skills that can be applied to all areas of life. My goal in all my classes is to inspire the students to study science. I want them to always ask questions and to stay curious.
Please reach out to me if you don't see a time that works for your child. I will try to be accommodating if it is possible.
When I am not teaching or prepping for classes, I enjoy crafting, reading, working out, and spending time with my dog.
