Animals are an ideal way to open up the world of literacy to kids since most children develop a love and interest for animals at an early age. This Bilingual class is a fun way to learn the alphabet in Spanish and vocabulary words. Each week, learners will be introduced to 4 different letters and several animals and words associated with them. We will use sounds and cartoon animals in the shape of letters to make our lesson fun and interactive. Mindful repetition and Total Physical Response (TPR) will be used throughout the lesson to emphasize the target vocabulary and create memorable meaning through movement.

In addition to the new vocabulary based on the letters of the day, students will also learn how to greet and say goodbye to their friends. We will learn some basic conversation as well. Students will become comfortable using their new Spanish phrases as we will practice them in each class.
