Students will grow in their ability to understand, speak and read in Spanish. This course is meant to build confidence and ability in the use of a second language. 

I am an experienced language teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching Spanish as well as 5 years experience teaching English as a second language in the virtual classroom. I have been teaching my own personal Spanish curriculum on Outschool. Prior to virtual teaching I taught high school and middle school Spanish in the classroom. I studied the Spanish language in the U.S.A at Temple University and in Spain at Universidad Complutense in Madrid. I have spent multiple summers in Spanish-speaking countries teaching English and continuing to study Spanish.  I love the language and I always enjoy helping students love it too!

As a FLEX course the student will have work to complete each week. There will be a variety of assignments for students to complete that pairs with the video recordings. The homework will be posted on the message board in this class and any worksheets will be posted in pdf form.

Learners are assessed through a variety of ways in this Flexible Course. They will be assessed through engagement on the message boards, weekly vocabulary quizzes, unit tests and their work in Nearpod completed with the videos.

Students are graded on homework, participation, tests and quizzes. They are then given a formal report and grade upon completion of the semester.
