South American Geography and Interesting Facts Series: Argentina & Chile * Learners will be provided with a fully colored & labeled map of South America and each country studied. They will also receive blank versions of the same, which they will then fill out and color. The files will be uploaded in .PDF format in the classroom section. * Learners will learn about the different biomes found in the countries studied, including landforms and animals. * Learners will learn about the effects the large Amazon fires of 2019-2020 had and are still having on the area. * Learners will be presented with interesting information about each country and will be able to view short clips of folk dances. * Learners will discover a little bit about the languages spoken, some history and a few customs of the country studied
學習目標
The learners will be able to find each of the countries discussed on a map of South America. They will also be able to speak about the people who live in each of those countries, including being able to name the correct language(s) spoken there. The learners will also be able to speak a bit about the history of the region.

Though there will be some discussion about the Amazon fires of 2019-2020 there will be no political discussion.

Learners will find .PDF files containing maps and country information in the classroom portion of the portal. Learners may want a notebook to take notes in.

I graduated from college in 2002 with a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology, my minor was in Spanish and Latin American, Latino And Caribbean Studies (LALACS). I'm used to working with children of all ages as well as their families. I'm also working with people of diverse backgrounds. I believe that Children have an innate love for knowledge. I believe that it is our jobs as adults to guide them according to their interests. We need to make the experience fun and meaningful.
