This is an ongoing social skills class that is specifically geared for children who use an AAC device to assist in communication. The level of use can be from fully independent to full assistance. A student may have someone present to assist in the communication process with them if needed. A list of general questions will be provided prior to each class to allow for any prep of device or practice if desired. I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for over 20 years. I want to foster an environment that allows students to use their device with other students in a social manner to build confidence and interest in use.

This course is directly developed to work with children who use devices to communicate. It is offering a safe space to practice using their devices with other kids.
