Students will learn more about how being gifted affects their brain, specifically their social and emotional growth and development.  Learners will engage in discussion and role play to practice skills for improving their social/emotional experience and interactions. 

I have over fifteen years experience as an educator, with a Master's Degree in Curriculum Instruction and Development and a Gifted certification. I have taught in both inclusive and self-contained gifted environments.  Additionally, I have previously acted as a parent advocate and coach for parents of gifted children while also authoring the book The Everything Parents Guide to Raising a Gifted Child published at the request of Adams Media.  I have been leading student and parent groups for gifted children for over ten years.  I'm passionate about helping gifted students reach their maximum potential in all areas of life, not just their academic ones.
