課堂經歷
In this class, the history of voting rights concerning different people groups such as African Americans, Native Americans, women, and those who served in Vietnam will be discussed. Students will enjoy a lively video class on what it means to be disenfranchised, the civil rights movement, and relevant constitutional amendments. We will begin this fact-based curriculum with the earliest decisions made by the founding fathers concerning voting rights and carry it through the 26th Amendment. The last amendment passed in 1971 concerning voting. By the end of class, students will have a better understanding of the history of voting rights in America.
