When discussing things like texting drama, cyberbullying, etc., the recommendation the book gives, and I stress, is to always talk to parents and keep them informed as they are the best advocate for their student.

Parents are encouraged to be nearby in case there are any issues (i.e. technology, etc.) that need to be addressed. Unfortunately, I cannot address technical issues from my side.

Please make sure your student knows how to find and use the Mute/Unmute button. There are times when a student’s background is noisy. Their mic will be muted by the teacher so the class and the learning and thinking processes are not disrupted. Your student will then have to unmute their mic in order to talk. Zoom will not allow teachers to unmute mics anymore.

*Each student must be registered for the class to attend; however, siblings/friends can share a screen to participate in the class.
