In this class I will be teaching all about caterpillars and butterflies. We will discover that both caterpillars and butterflies are insects. We will talk about the life cycle of a butterfly. We will discover numerous facts about caterpillars and butterflies such as their diet, body and habitat. We will read a book about caterpillars and butterflies. I believe learning needs to be fun in order for children to retain information. In order to facilitate the fun I always try to bring new and interesting things to each lesson I teach. We will also have a butterfly activity. We will learn about caterpillars and butterflies in a fun way and Snowy and his mailbox will help us. We may also have live caterpillars in class (when available).

Students will learn about caterpillars and butterflies. Students will practice speaking in class. Children will use their creativity in the butterfly activity.

Hello and welcome to my profile! I have been a teacher with Outschool since 2020. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. Some of my specialties include preparing Pre-K children for Kindergarten both academically as well as socially. I also enjoy teaching ESL to students from all over the world. I enjoy making learning fun. My snowman Snowy engages the students each week with his mail that he sends to the children. Snowy is just one of the unique ways we have fun in class while learning. I truly believe that children need to have fun while learning in order for the concept to really sink in and be understood.
I graduated from UNCW with a Bachelor's Degree in English. After college I started my teaching career as a high school English teacher. I left the profession to raise my four children. I decided to return to my career and have enjoyed teaching many years as a Pre-K teacher.
I am also an online ESL ( English as a Second Language) teacher with VIPKid. I enjoy getting to know my students both in the United States and all over the world!
I love snow! This is something that the kids always seem to really enjoy. I love hearing the children laugh and seeing those precious smiles while we enjoy learning together. My husband and children love to travel. We enjoy camping all over the USA. I also have a black lab named Snowflake and a cat named Chloe. I hope to see your child in class soon!評論
