I am an educator with over 30 years experience teaching students from the US and around the globe, in both brick & mortar classrooms and online. I have an MA in Early Childhood Education and a Georgia state teaching license in Elementary Education and ESOL.  I have taught students with a wide range of skills and varying English language levels. I love helping students unlock the magic of reading, and I am especially enthusiastic about supporting children with unique learning needs.

My online classroom is an energetic and engaging space where students are excited to learn. By taking the time to get to know each student I can create and adapt lessons that will address their specific needs and learning styles. Through games, songs and visuals I help students engage with lessons and retain what they have learned. Parent -teacher communication is also an important key to a student's success, so please feel free to communicate with me directly  about your child's specific needs or interests. 

I am passionate about teaching and learning about all kinds of animals and insects. I have a big garden that I share with several tortoises, hedgehogs and cool insects such as mantis' and beetles, as well as my dog and  two cats.  I have travelled to many places around the world and enjoy sharing fiction and nonfiction books about different places and cultures. I also love sewing and crafting, particularly making dolls and jewelry.
