This club style class and workshop is about students working together to improve their SLAM poems. Daily format will vary based on student desires; however, the typical format will allow students to share or perform their poetry and receive feedback from the group. I have been a high school English teacher and speech and debate coach for over 15 years. I love poetry, especially spoken word poetry, and have had tremendous success with teaching it in my classroom. I also have an extensive background in theater.
