In this class students will sketch and phycically express their creative ideas through Lego building.  Before we begin we will have a brief introduction (students names, ages).  We will discuss the expectations of the class while sharing ideas about what we like to build with Legos.  Students will be able to have time to think about and share ideas with their peers as to what they would like to sketch. The students will then sketch on a piece of paper what they will be building with the Legos. Students may use markers, crayons, or colored pencils for their drawing.  They will be encouraged to use abstract thinking, creative building, creativity, and problem solving to express their ideas.  After the students complete their sketch they will begin building their sketch art with the Legos.  During the duration of the classes I will give students an instructional picture to sketch and build. For example one week I will discuss nature.  The sketch and lego building that week will be related to nature.  No pressure this is just for fun and to teach students about different topics that they can use their creativity to sketch and build.  Students will be working at their own level.  Finally we will present our sketch designs and our lego art to our class peers! Students will be able to give postive feedback to their new class friends! :) Students will learn creativity, abstract thinking, problem solving, public speaking, and physically express creative ideas. I am so excited for this fun and educational Lego course!
