簡單的加法提示和技巧

Do you rely on counting fingers or "counting up" every time you solve addition facts up to 20? After taking this course, you will be able to quickly solve addition facts to 20 using basic number sense.
This is a one week course which meets 4 times for 35 minutes. On day 1, we will learn the concept of "turn around facts" (8+2=10, 2+8=10) Learners will be introduced to the complements of 10 (9+1=10,8+2=10), and will use the concept of turn around facts to quickly solve related complements of 10 pairs (if 8+2=10, then 2+8=10). Finally, we learn the +10 facts and their "turnarounds" (3+10=13, 10+3=13) and quickly check for understanding of these concepts. 
Day 2 begins with a review of concepts taught on Day 1. Then we will use the +10 facts to quickly solve +9 and +11 facts (and their turnarounds). A check for understanding of these concepts complete Day 2.
We review day 2 content on Day 3. Following the review, we learn how to quickly recognize doubles facts (6+6=12) and doubles +1 facts (6+7=13). Like day 1 and 2, day 3 ends with a check for understanding. 
Day 4 will serve as an entire course review. Learners will be able to celebrate their newfound skill by playing a game with flashcards.  
Please note: Students must understand the concepts of addition and "one more/ one less" in order to succeed in this course.
