In this one-time course, we will read and discuss Gary Soto's short story, Seventh Grade. Seventh Grade discusses first impressions and attempting to be something you are not to impress others -- the "struggles" of being in Seventh Grade. Students will receive a hand-out of Gary Soto's short story, Seventh Grade prior to the start of class. Ideally, students should have the handout printed out to follow along during class. Students can also read the handout on their computers or other devices during class.
