This class is designed for students who have zero or very little previous experience to playing the piano or reading music. During this course young musicians will learn how to read basic music with a relaxed approach, play melodies, and begin playing simple harmony. Students will work on their sight reading skills. Students will need to purchase a piano book for this class. Each week students will learn and review music terms and symbols that will help them become more fluent with reading...

I have been teaching private lessons since I was in high school. I have 2 decades of experience working in the elementary classroom and I really try to connect with students to help them understand and enjoy the language of music.
