- Create Visual Variety: Students will learn to plan and execute a photoshoot featuring their favorite subjects, emphasizing the importance of visual variety within a series of images.

- Introduction to Editing: Basic editing techniques will be introduced, including exposure, color balance, contrast, and black-and-white conversion. Students will practice editing and explore how to capture images that lend themselves well to black-and-white formats.

- Engage in Collaborative Editing: Students will have the opportunity to make their own edits of the teacher's photos and have the teacher edit one of their photos. They will focus on the balance between initial photography choices and post-processing adjustments.

- Participate in Challenges: The course will culminate in fun challenge rounds, where students will apply their skills in creative ways. They are encouraged to use their favorite subjects, ideally a living model, for interactive challenges.

This course is led by Erika Hatfield, who brings expertise and enthusiasm to every lesson. Students will feel empowered to explore their creativity while developing their unique photographic voice.

This self-paced format caters to diverse schedules and allows students to learn at their own speed while still benefiting from dedicated teacher interaction.

While there are no live Zoom sessions, students can engage with pre-recorded demonstrations that illustrate key concepts, alongside visual presentations that enhance understanding. Learners will pause to take photos while watching video lessons.
