In this class, we will dig into the best writing practice to help develop our young writers. Each week we will work on essay structure to a prompt including: planning to a prompt, writing according to our plan, making editing and revising changes to complete the prompt, and finish writing a 3-5 paragraph essay. I’m a compassionate and charismatic teacher who loves to teach! I have taught Kindergarten through 5th grade students for the last 10 years. In that time, I have been a general education teacher in the public schools setting for 8 years and specialized as a reading coach to my school for an additional two years. I have been teaching online since February 2020. I’m certified to teach Elementary education from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I absolutely love teaching language arts. I have taught second grade writers and their teachers how to develop their craft as a budding author. I have taught these lessons in the public school setting with many students who have mastered the content. I’m looking forward to sharing this fun class with your wonderful writer!
Printed weekly materials of text, writing pages, and graphic organizers. Learners can write in a journal or any lined paper if they do not wish to use the printouts. Lined handwriting paper will be provided for printing. Coloring tools: highlights, crayons, or colored pencils/ pens
