Each month, we will explore a new science-based infographic book. An infographic book uses colorful and detailed illustrations or images along with written text to provide the reader a clearer understanding of the topic. Infographic books are wonderful way to introduce scientific topics to future scientists. In this science book club, we do not read the book together but rather share and discuss fun facts. Learners will improve their understanding of scientific topics, literacy, and vocabulary. Learners will also have the opportunity to improve their problem solving and design skills through class activities and discussions.
We will start discussing the book of the month during the second full week of the month. It is recommended that learner have the book of the month available during the first full week of the month so that they can read the pages we will begin discussing in week two. The title, author, and ISBN-13 number for each book can be found within the class description.
