課堂經歷
One of the pillars of middle school science - is fundamental physics. This FLEX course mixes classic lecture-based preparation, math, and hands-on application. Your student will be introduced to force, motion, and more. We will go over concepts and mathematical calculations. Each week will focus on specific ideas. There will be a short recorded lesson with note sheets, digital simulations, an opportunity for creativity with hands-on activities, labs, and a friendly forum with classmates. ...
- Investigate what causes an object to move, continue moving, and stop. - Understand how to calculate: speed, velocity, acceleration, net force, kinetic energy, potential energy, work, and power. - Demonstrate and describe how an object's speed or direction of motion changes when a force acts upon it. - Explore how other forces, such as gravity and friction affect an object and its motion. - Apply your knowledge of Newton's Laws of Motion to construct a device or devices. - Explain that when energy is transferred from one system to another, the total quantity of energy does not change.
Students will be given weekly digital note sheets and lab sheets. Electromagnet Supplies: iron nail or screw, small copper wire, battery, and optional electrical tape. *Paper clips to test the magnet.**
