課堂經歷
This 4-day course presents a way for children to learn about drawing techniques with line, color, shape, and self-expression. This class will be a step-by-step guide about how to build a drawing with shapes and then add your own artistic qualities to the drawing through color and detail. By the end of the class students will have completed at least 2-4 art works based on drawing techniques learned in class. Day 1 12/28/2020 Students are greeted and guided through the materials and tools used in class, as well as basic shapes used in our drawings. We will begin by making our first car drawing with pencils. The goal of the class is to make one drawing per session. However if a student wants more time on a drawing they are allowed to spend it on detail. Day 2 12/29/2020 Students grab their materials and they are guided to finish their second car drawing. Day 3 12/30/2020 We will begin our third Rocket League drawing and also discuss techniques that we have learned in class. Day 4 12/31/2020- Show time! We will finish our third or fourth car drawing, and end class by having a virtual art show. Students will describe their artwork.

Students will develop good class relationships in terms of talking about art work. They will also develop skills in drawing using line variation, color, and composition. My background is in academic drawing.

Hello, my name is Samantha. I love to teach unique art classes that teach children about art technique through creative learning. I teach dinosaur drawing classes using shapes and sounds, graffiti drawing classes, various mixed media classes, and oil painting! I also like to incorporate music into my classes.
In 2010 I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. I have taught kids ages 4-10 for ten years. I was a lead art instructor for children’s classes in school and at various art centers in New York. In these classes I constructed curricula to teach printmaking, sculpture with clay miniatures, and various painting and drawing classes. I have also taught various mural painting workshops for children in Spain.
My classes are about learning art techniques through creative play. I like to engage my students by starting with a game or a song. I structure my classes with a specific plan to keep students engaged. It is important for me to let them explore their own creative painting and drawing techniques through making art. I also have a virtual art show to share what we have made!
