Robotics is a growing field in our world that is continuously changing and advancing in technology. In this course, students will have the opportunity to program a virtual robot through various obstacles and challenges presented throughout the class. For this course, students will be programming Dash using the Dash's Neighborhood. Students can watch their virtual coding turn into tangible learning experiences in real time as Dash, with its performance and multiple sensors, interacts with and responds to its surroundings. With the guide of an instructor, students will learn that they, too, can be a Robotics Programmer and Engineer.
Bright & Smart was founded in 2005. We have been teaching and developing our programs for the past 15 years. We create our programs with students learning experience in mind; we want them to learn to love STEM and to develop their higher cognitive skills and natural abilities, we help them to see themselves as creators of technology.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses Dash Neighborhood. Dash’s Neighborhood is compatible with iOS, Chromebooks, and Chrome browser for laptop and desktop.

Parents are advised to stay nearby while the class is running to offer technical support in case there is an issue with the internet and/or the platform. The robot platform is a 3D simulator that runs well on any device, however, it uses a lot of memory resources of the computer. Zoom meetings sometimes require some troubleshooting.
