Welcome to Roblox Math: Basic Math Math is everywhere, even in Roblox! This class explores how basic math is used in Roblox. This class is ideal for students that like math and like roblox games. This class is also ideal for students that struggle to see how Math is used "in real life" or students that are losing interest in Math. My goal is to foster and inspire interest in mathematics through coding and game design. This course has a specific objective. The course does not cover building techniques. This course does NOT teach students how to use Roblox Studio. This class assumes that students have used Roblox Studio before and have made basic games before. The focus of this class is MATH. The class will not teach students how to add, subtract, multiply, or divide. This class is not meant to replace a student's current mathematics curriculum. This class does not teach math, but it demonstrates to students how math plays a role in the Roblox games they play and create. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How is the class structured? Step 1: Introductions - students greet one another verbally or through written communication in zoom chat. Step 2: I'll show the first topic on the screen and ask for feedback from the class about their knowledge of the topic. For example, let's say the topic is addition. I'll ask students for examples of it in a roblox game. A student might say that addition is used in their favorite game when player collects a coin, the number of coins on the leaderboard goes up. Step 3: After students have provided feedback/example of the topic, I will then use a digital whiteboard to explain the math concept. Step 4: After the digital whiteboard explanation, I will show a code in Roblox Studio that applies the math topic. As a class, we'll discuss how the code uses math in order to work. This class includes a lot of discussion. Students will be encouraged to explain math concepts in their own words. --- A short transition of 2-3 minutes and then steps 2 - 4 are done again, this time with the second topic etc. . Topics: Topic 1 - Basic Math (Addition and Subtraction) Topic 2 - Basic Math (Multiplication and Division)

父母的引導和規範
Parental Guidance is advised for students under 13 when accessing the internet and when downloading and installing programs such as Roblox Studio. Roblox Studio is a free program that should only be downloaded from the official Roblox site. www.roblox.com/create. Roblox Studio requires a Roblox account.
It is strongly encouraged that parents add their own email address to the Roblox Account in case the student gets locked out of their Roblox account. If a student gets locked out of their Roblox Account, that means they will be locked out of Roblox Studio too.
Roblox Studio requires an internet connection (Roblox Studio cannot be used offline/without internet).
Roblox Studio requires that a student be in good standing with Roblox. Students that are suspended/banned from Roblox will also be suspended/banned from Roblox Studio too. Any kind of account issues must be directed to Roblox support.
Roblox Studio's toolbox contains premade items that can added into the game environment. This includes items that may not be appropriate to some, such as weapons and zombies.
