I like to begin my classes with a check in. I like to see how learners are doing (this can be both in real life, in game). Classes are set up to get students interacting with one another. My role as the instructor is to guide conversations as needed, but from my experience, when classes form bonds and friendships, I let students run conversations. Breakout rooms may be depending on the dynamics of the class.
