Informal assessment will be used to monitor and track student progress throughout the class. These informal assessments will provide students with ongoing feedback and support as they develop their language skills and deepen their understanding of their cultural heritage. By using informal assessment, we can create a low-stakes, collaborative learning environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and engaging with the material. Ultimately, this will help students build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their goals.我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。

Open to heritage speakers with one or two Spanish-speaking parents, or students with a strong foundation from an immersion program. Boost your language proficiency and cultural connection A Spanish immersion reading and writing class for heritage speakers explores diverse topics that strengthen cultural heritage and identity. Each week, students engage in Spanish reading and writing, exploring subjects like holidays, customs, history, nature, technology, and current events. Our recurring method allows students to revisit and expand their knowledge, deepening their understanding of the world and command of the Spanish language. Experience a profound cultural connection while developing language skills and critical thinking abilities It is crucial to highlight that the themes we will examine in our session will give a secular perspective in order to maintain cultural and historical correctness. For instance, when talking about "the Carnaval" tradition, we will examine how it began as a pre-Lenten celebration in medieval Europe and how it developed into the vibrant festival that is now observed throughout Latin America. We hope to provide learners with a thorough awareness of their cultural and historical background by exploring the context of these practices. In our discussions and readings, we will also always place a priority on cultural awareness and tolerance for various viewpoints. It's important to highlight that the provided eight-week sample rotation schedule in Revive tus raíces culturales: A Spanish immersion reading and writing class for heritage speakers represents only a fraction of the extensive themes we will explore. We value each student's individual interests and perspectives, and we're flexible in customizing the class schedule accordingly. As a teacher with a master's degree in Spanish language and culture, and a bachelor's degree in philology and languages, I have extensive knowledge and experience in the Spanish language and its diverse cultural nuances. My studies have allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the Spanish language, its grammar, and its historical context. Additionally, I have lived in Spanish-speaking countries and have immersed myself in their cultures, allowing me to gain a first-hand perspective on the traditions, customs, and values of these communities.
My thesis and research on "El uso del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial en la clase de ELE" (The Use of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Spanish as a Second Language Classroom) serves as a testament to my in-depth knowledge of Spanish culture and my ability for integrating cultural concepts into language acquisition.
I have investigated how several cultural aspects—like holidays, customs, and historical factors—relate to language learning through my research. I can teach a thorough and interesting reading and writing course for heritage speakers thanks to my knowledge of the Spanish language and culture. This way, I can ensure that students learn the language while also getting a better understanding of their cultural origins. I am sure that my education and expertise will enable me to give every student an interesting and culturally rich learning experience.
