Are you convinced your old dog can’t learn new tricks? Did you recently add a new furry family member to your household? Are you considering getting a dog but are not sure your learner is ready for the responsibility? Well then this class is for you! Together, we will discuss what it takes to be a responsible dog parent, as well as learn positive dog training techniques. We will take time to discuss everyone’s personal experience with dogs. We will learn dogs’ basic needs, including daily tasks and basic veterinary care. An overview of force free dog training techniques will be presented. Learners will have the opportunity to ask questions about their personal dogs’ behaviors and share what they love most about dogs. I will demonstrate techniques for teaching “sit” with my assistant pup-fessor, Donovan (my dog). Learners will have the opportunity to practice movements and commands. Those with dogs are encouraged to bring them to class, along with their pup’s favorite snacks, to start the training process right away. Learners without dogs are encouraged to use their imagination to practice or bring along a stuffed animal. If we have time at the end of class, we will review course content with a fun game of Jeopardy, although, we usually don't have time because we're too busy sharing stories about our dogs. Note— Dogs have off days too. If Pup-fessor Donovan needs the day off, we will review video clips of me working with him.

Students will learn about the responsibility of caring for dogs, as well as force free training techniques. They will walk away with the ability to teach any dog “sit” with nothing more than some patience and yummy snacks.

Hello all!
I am Ms. Jessica and I cannot wait to engage with your learner! I teach social learning classes as well as dog training classes. My teaching philosophy is that learning should always be fun and learner driven. I firmly believe that every kid is a good kid (and every dog is a good dog)!
In my dog classes, I am a positive, force-free trainer focused on engaging every learner to help their dog be the very best dog they can be. I have been an animal lover my whole life and have spent the past couple of years as a board member with a dog rescue. In that time, I have provided a temporary home to over 40 dogs to help prepare them for adoption. I believe that you’re never too young to learn about responsible pet care and build an unbreakable bond with your pet.
Beyond pets, I have a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership. I am a natural problem solver and believe there is nothing we can’t accomplish with a little hard work and patience, and a lot of fun! 評論
